We welcome students of all denominations and cultures. A smaller school population and small classes enable a high level of individual care and our internationally proven method of study and teaching provides overseas students with excellent learning resources.

We follow the NSW Education Standards Authority (NESA) regulations. Our students experience a variety of subjects and opportunities to learn in alignment with their own life and career goals.

The Athena School provides a safe and friendly atmosphere where overseas students study together with Australian students in the classroom, on field trips and in a variety of sporting, arts and science activities. They not only cover the academic requirements but have plenty of hands-on experience which gives them the opportunity to test the theories taught in class.

Where Do Athena Students Go When They Graduate Year 10 ?

On completing their studies at Athena, every student has individual goals and career choices available to them. As a school, we assist them and their parents/guardians in their choices and then help to secure placements for Year 11 & 12, Technical College, apprenticeships or whichever pathway best suits their education and career objectives.

The knowledge and academic skills achieved by our students not only sets them up for a successful transition into other schools, but gives them the ability to learn with certainty in any educational setting. Click here to find out more about what this means for your child.

General Enrolment Information

Applications for enrolment are accepted from individual families or authorized agents and may be submitted at any time throughout the year.

Complete the Overseas Student Enrolment Application Form and provide supporting documents and submit to our Overseas Student Enrolment Officer, who will assist you through the application process.

Summary of Enrolment Policies and Procedures

EDUCATION SERVICES FOR OVERSEAS STUDENTS (ESOS)

The Australian Government wants overseas students in Australia to have a safe, enjoyable and rewarding place to study. Australia’s laws promote quality education and consumer protection for overseas students. These laws are known as the ESOS framework and they include the Education Services for Overseas (ESOS) Act 2000 and the National Code 2007.

The Athena School complies with ESOS legislation. School policies have been written to ensure these standards are maintained and copies are available from the school. A summary of these is included on the Application for Enrolment form to ensure prospective applicants have an understanding of what will be expected of them prior to enrolment.
