School Clean Up Day

Working with Clean Up Australia, The Athena School will be participating in this year's School Clean Up Australia Day.
It all started in 1989, Ian Kiernan had a simple idea to make a difference in his own backyard - Sydney Harbour. He organised a community event with the support of a committee of friends - Clean Up Sydney Harbour. This simple idea has now become the nation's largest community-based environmental event, with the first official Clean Up Australia Day on 21 January 1990.
The Biggest School Water Fun Fundraiser

3.20am - 4.40pm
The Parents and Friends of Athena are hosting The Biggest School Water Fun Fundraiser. The event will be an hour filled with laughter, community spirit, and refreshment in this sweltering heat.
Students to come dressed to get wet, bring a towel and your water play toys of choice!
Every dollar raised helps fund the new decking for the school, so dive in and help us make a splash for a good cause.

Harmony Day 2025

Harmony Day is where we celebrate Australia's amazing cultural diversity.
On this day, students can come to school in their cultural traditional dress OR if they choose, in the colour orange.
Why the colour Orange?
Orange has been the Harmony Week colour since the first event was held in 1999. Traditionally, orange signifies social communication and meaningful conversations. It also relates to the freedom of ideas and encouragement of mutual respect.
Swimming Carnival 2025
Friday 28th March 2025
The Swimming Carnival is a traditional part of Australian children's school days. It provides opportunities for children to showcase their swimming skills, race in a relaxed environment, and foster a sense of team spirit.
All students, teachers and chaperones will meet at the school in the morning where we will the Pools. After the carnival, students and teachers will travel back to the school prior to school finishing for the day.
School Disco 2025

4.00am - 6.00pm
Come along to the school disco where there is dancing, eating and a big fun party.
It is ALL about THE KIDS and fundraising for the High School Snow Trip!
Easter Hamper Raffle Draw 2025

Hop into the spirit of Easter with our Egg-citing Easter Raffle, offering you the chance to celebrate in style with one-of-a-kind Easter baskets!
Tickets are $2 each and books of 10 for $20 each
The Easter Raffle will be drawn on the last day of term during assembly - Several hampers to be won!

School photos serve as a timeless keepsake for students and families, capturing a moment in time during their academic journey. These photos not only provide a snapshot of personal growth and memories but also reflect the school's culture and milestones. They help families preserve precious memories of their children as they grow older and offer students the chance to look back and reflect on their school years.
In addition, school photos are often used for yearbooks, school ID cards, and other educational records, making them an essential part of the school experience.
On this day please have your children wear their nicest looking uniform top and their locks living their best life.
